Eve of Iowa Caucus

On the eve of the Iowa caucus and with politics very much on my mind, I thought I would post an interesting electoral map from the 2004 presidential election. It shows how population density plays a major role in determining which party an individual supports.

Fascinating. I'd be curious to see other presidential election results in the same way. Though it indicates which party won each jurisdiction, it doesn't indicate the margin of victory.

A good site to check is 270towin.com. It interactively explores previous presidential elections and the electoral college system
